Public transportation Prague tickets and passes are very easy to buy. For the single-trip tickets there are used two types of them: thirty minute tickets to buy for 24 CZK (adults for 24 CZK, children 6-15 12 CZK, children under 6 for free) and 90-minute ticket for 32 CZK (for adults 32 CZK, children 6-15 for 16 CZK, children under 6 for free). When it is necessary you can buy a 90-minute ticket just from the driver for 40 CZK.

Public transportation Prague – tickets
Both of them are used for any type of public transportation and enable the transfer between lines (subway to subway, tram to tram) or between different types of Prague public transport. Tickets are sold through yellow ticket vending machines at ticket offices at some metro stations, at a Tabák/Trafika, some newsstands, tourist information centres. Or you can buy it via local mobile phone number by sending the text message DPT24 or DPT32 to the number 902 06. The ticket is sent to your mobile phone in one minute (this is in case you use the prepaid Czech SIM card). The ticket should be punched at the entrance to the metro station or the tram/bus.
Public transportation Prague – Passes – short-term and long-term one
There are available short-tems and long-terms passes. Short-term passes are suitable for tourist and cost 110 CZK, three-day pass is for 310 CZK. Long-term passes with a photo-ID are per month 550 CZ, quarterly 1,480 CZK, for 5 months 2,450 CZK and for one year 4,750 CZK. They can be used for any type of public transportation in Prague for how long it is valid and children under 6 are free of charge.
